Hi, peeps!
What has everyone else been up to this past weekend?
Continuing with the part one post, this brings us to Sunday, July 28th. This was our most relaxed day after running around in Nashville on Saturday. One of Stephen’s friends made us omelettes [so yummy] for breakfast.
Our remaining activities didn’t pick back up until around 4 or 5 PM. We spent the majority of the day hanging out, and we played some Overcooked — I loved this game— and Minecraft for a little while. I tend to die a ton in Minecraft, so Stephen usually has to save me.
Anyways, we were getting hungry again, so we decided to eat at Otaku Ramen in the Gulch area. Sadly, we didn’t get to explore the Gulch since we didn’t have a lot of time, and we started craving some ice cream afterwards. It’s a small restaurant with limited tables, so we had to sit at the same table with another couple. Needless to say, we were all on our best behaviors, haha.
This is our first ramen shop that we’ve tried here. We are eager to try some more!
I ordered the Spicy Miso and it had such a wonderful flavor! I’m not a huge fan of egg in my ramen, so I gave it to one of the friends. I’ve become a super fan of pork in noodle dishes, so this was definitely the right choice. Although there was some spice to it, it wasn’t at a high heat level, which was about the right amount of spice and flavor as a whole.
It was a decent size of ramen, but I could have definitely put down another portion! I’m a bottomless pit when it comes to noodles, so I suppose it’s a good thing to stop before I’m ahead.

Stephen ordered the Shoyu Ramen. He says that he wasn’t ready for the egg because it startled him a bit [haha] when eating it. Also, the pickled ginger was so dark that we forgot what it was for a moment! I think the cute little fish cake was one of the best parts, I always love eating them! I was slightly sad that mine didn’t have one. They tend to have a subtle but flavorful taste to it. We were pretty happy with our meal overall, and I definitely want to go back sometime to try another dish.
Next, we decided to go to Legendairy Milkshake Bar. There were so many choices to choose from! They had forms of the menu where you could circle or check whatever you wanted. One the back, you could create your own shake with additional costs.
We wanted to try this place a few weeks ago, but it was 3 PM at the time — a definite no! We looked through the window and they were so packed! This time, we figured that going on a Sunday around 6 or so gave us a better chance for the place to not be crazy busy.
As soon as we ordered and found a table, there was a huge line! Luckily, we got there when we did or else we’d be waiting about 20 minutes or more just for a milkshake! Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand why it takes them so long to make one of these, but it’s funny how long people will wait for something like a fancy milkshake.
Mostly, it’s a hyped up milkshake and the price was based on presentation. I will say, it’s definitely a place to go at least once if you want to treat yourself with something sweet!

There’s a piece of cheesecake and a doughnut on this — how awesome is that!? Also, some bits of waffle cone are on top and mixed in the milkshake.
I’m pretty sure Stephen’s friend, Phillip, ordered the Breakfast of Champions Shake with frosted flakes, maple syrup, and bacon. It’s in there somewhere.
Last but not least, here’s my colorful and oh so sugary milkshake, the Majestic Unicorn!
I was craving some cotton candy flavored ice cream, so I decided to get the Magical Unicorn. I didn’t even know that it came with the Airhead Extreme, but it was the “little slice of rainbow magic” as its description stated.
These were just a cavity waiting to happen. Seriously, I think I might have one. [2021 commentary: Jokingly, I am confirming this shake was the cause of my cavities. Probably didn’t help my case since I hadn’t been to the dentist for over a year.] I ended up getting extremely sleepy just a few hours after almost finishing mine, but it was worth it!

The ramen looks yummy, I know what you mean about being a bottomless pit when it comes to noodles, lol– I’m the same way! The egg is one of my fave parts, though. 🙂 & I agree about the cute little fish cakes, they remind me of so many cartoons. <3 The milkshakes look SUPER awesome but, I know what you mean about the price being outrageous just for the looks & additional (almost unnecessary) toppings. A lot of places seem to be that way!

I like eggs well enough, but I didn’t want the runniness of them in my bowl, haha. Definitely a great dish overall! I don’t think I’ve ever tried the fish cake until like a few years back on vacation and I loved it!
Super creative and a rad presentation, but the milkshake has to be taken in doses, haha. Maybe that’s the going thing for people to post about to gain more business? Whatever it is, it seems to work!
