Girls’ Brunch & off to Paris, Tennessee!

*Since I switched my blog domain the pictures are not available in this blog post anymore and some comments did not transfer over. I will try to find the photos and add them to this post soon!

It’s the last week of February already? I must have been sleeping the past few weeks since it feels like the month has just started.

On Friday, Stephen orders Inchin’s again, yay!! He ordered the lunch box for himself and ordered me one too so I could enjoy it for dinner.

The box combo is cute. You get to choose a lunch entree, rice, and you get a veggie spring roll.

We both ordered the Mangolian Beef. I ordered mine with white rice. Stephen said he ordered his with the chicken fried rice option.

I watched some Tiny House World episodes while I ate my dinner, and until the hockey game started.

Mangolian Beef.

This was super good. I’m sad that there wasn’t extra heat to it like we requested, but I ate it all and I would recommend getting again.

Before the hockey game started, I had Stephen slice potatoes for me so I could make chips.

The ones with the peeling on it still are my favorite.

Saturday Brunch

I gave a bag full of chips to Alexis to share with her. Alexis, Taylor, Kelli, and I had brunch together at 10:30 AM at Strawberry Alley. I left around 9:00 AM or so to head to Alexis’s place since we were carpooling together. I made a quick stop to Dunkin’, of course.

We all started out with some mimosas. I mean, they’re only $1 and the perfect amount for me!

There were so many options that I didn’t know what to choose at first.

I was thinking about the Fried Green Tomato & Shrimp Benedict — I ordered that once with Kelli — or try something new, like the Roasted Vegetables & Farro. I chose the something new, and I’m so glad I did!

There’s also a brunch bar with different options of small snack foods that’s free with an entree.

Kelli and Alexis both ordered the Breakfast Bowls. Only, Alexis’ is minus the pico de gallo.

Kelli’s Breakfast Bowl.

Just a slight difference, but they both looked delicious.

Alexis’ Breakfast Bowl.

Taylor ordered some Breakfast Tacos.

Taylor’s Breakfast Tacos.

I absolutely loved my meal.

Mine included: beets, carrots, turnips, celery, farro, herb vinaigrette, kale chips.

Roasted Vegetables & Farro.

The kale kind of covers everything, so what’s underneath the leafy green.

What’s underneath all the kale, haha.

I left a few bites left because I couldn’t finish it, but I tried so hard to clean my plate.

We walked around downtown Clarksville, mostly to reach this rad mural and take a few fun pictures together.

We went to the the mall afterwards because they put Charlotte Russe back in there. Everyone enjoyed a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon, minus me since I was craving some coffee. After we split from Kelli and Taylor, Alexis and I stopped at Dunkin’ once โ€” I can never say no to it.

We were mainly going to Paris, Tennessee to support Jessie’s clothing boutique that’s she’s renting out at Off the Square. First, we went to the Eiffel Tower โ€” not the Eiffel, but this one will have to suffice for now โ€” to see it before it got dark outside.

I was super surprised to see that there is an Eiffel Tower here, and it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

Just you wait, we’ll visit the one in France someday!

After we finished our picture taking part two, we headed to Off the Square to search for Jessie’s shop. Alexis designed and painted the logo! Peep the picture and my shirt is the rust colored one on the rack that’s a few clothes behind the purple shirt.

I originally had my eye on the far back grey and white sweater, but I was sad that there weren’t any in my size. She’s stocking up more clothes soon, so I’m looking forward to whatever else that Harper Finch has!

After buying some clothes, we headed to Moustos because Alexis has raved so much about it and after four years, I’m finally trying it. It’s similar to and, according to Alexis, even better than Olive Garden, so I was definitely excited to try it.

Here’s a pretty little water set up when you walk in through the first door.

Since it was Saturday night, the place was super busy. We only had to wait about 20 minutes or so, which wasn’t bad at all since there were so many people waiting in the lobby.

When we get seated, we enjoyed yummy bread with the oil and herbs. It was the soft bread that was baked just right!

Alexis’ salad taste and mine worked out really well. She enjoyed the croutons and grape tomatoes, while I happily ate all the olives and peppers. Yum.

Alexis usually orders the Chicken Marsala. Maybe I should’ve tried her meal because it looked delicious.

I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, just because I haven’t had it in a while and I was craving it. After I ordered it, I realized that I hadn’t had any meat in any of my meals that day since they were vegetarian. How funny.

Admittedly, I scraped the cheese off of the eggplant after I had a few bites of it. We both had to have to-go boxes since we just couldn’t finish it all. I blame the fill up on bread and salad beforehand.

After we finished eating, we headed back to Alexis’ place and hung out for a bit until I returned back to my apartment.

This Week So Far

Sunday was a blur, so it must have been a lazy day for the both of us. Nothing super exciting happened until yesterday when we went to our voting location to early vote. It only took about 20-25 minutes waiting in line, but we got through it!

We went to the small park that we pass to put our Pokemon in the gyms. Plus, I wanted Stephen to get a little more practice on the picture taking.

We have to get on the same page a little more with the photos since I was jumping and moving around during them, but I liked how these turned out! We’ll continuously work on that. He’s so kind to take them without making a fuss, so I appreciate it.

I made more chips because somebody ate almost all of the ones that I left at the apartment. I finished the remaining 20 or less chips that were remaining. I ran to Kroger for a few items and ingredients; then afterwards, I was craving a Green Tea Frappucino from Starbucks.

Earlier today, I took a few more photos with the cute shirt I bought to get a better look of it. The back is open until the top hemline, so that was neat.

I made a new recipe called Kung Pao Noodles that you can find here. Now, to catch up with some posts that I’ve missed from everyone!

  • How’s your week going?
  • Have you ever visited the Eiffel Tower in France?

  1. Beauty! I love vegetable spring rolls, hehe. Those chips you made look so good, Iโ€™ve never had them with the peel left on, that sounds tasty, Iโ€™d definitely like to try ๐Ÿ˜

How cool is that Eiffel Tower? So awesome! Iโ€™m loving those pics hun and what a fun little experience. Iโ€™m so excited for when you visit the Eiffel Tower in France also, I know youโ€™re going to visit soon ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

That water set up at Moustos is so gorgeous, thanks for sharing that picture doll! And the bread looks yummy… I am a lover of Olive Garden, so Iโ€™d definitely be keen to try here also!

Those photos Stephen got of you at the park are stunning, and the ones you got yourself! You look absolutely beautiful, I hope you share those pics on Insta because you look gorgeous and I am totally loving your outfit also! Flawless!

I hope you have a great rest of the week beauty, canโ€™t wait to see your noodle recipe! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

    1. They chips with the peeling are like a hollowed out potato skin thatโ€™s super crispy, essentially! Those are just the best.

The Tower was interesting to see! Iโ€™d be so excited to see the one in France someday! Thanks for the encouragement! ๐Ÿ’™ Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ve gone to see it, right!?

Olive Garden is definitely good, and I donโ€™t think you can go too wrong with an Italian restaurant!

Stephenโ€™s doing a pretty good job with taking pictures, so Iโ€™m grateful, haha. Iโ€™ll definitely share on Insta, Iโ€™m always a few steps behind when posting on Insta. Thank so much, Jenna! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! ๐Ÿ’ฅ โ™ฅ

  2. Oh how cool about the lunch box I don’t think we have places like that around here. We usually just get that foam tray to go that has like three dividers. Not as pleasing to the eye as this lunch box. And I love how you made your own potato chips. I’ve never attempted that.
I also haven’t had mimosas either haha. I love that you guys all went out to brunch together and had a lovely day out. All the food at brunch looks so so good!
I love that you guys have an eiffel tower there!! So cool.
Moustos really does sound super delicious! I hope I come across an Italian restaurant like this one.
How nice of him to take photos, I am also in the process of teaching my husband how to take photos of me too but teaching my husband is a bit harder with a camera hes not as familiar with lol
Hope you have a great week and weekend!

    1. Aw man, hopefully the food’s good in whatever packaging you get at least! I’ve never seen these boxes before until Inchin’s either. The potato chips are so easy to make; you just need a mandolin slicer, potatoes, and some oil! I use canola oil to fry them in.

The brunch was so fun, and it the food was better than I expected it to be! Haha. I was really surprised that the Tower was there, but I suppose they had to take advantage of the city’s name. I think it’s really the small family-owned restaurants that have such a better taste than a chain restaurant, so they’re also neat to try.

That’s fair about the camera, haha. Are you using a professional one or your phone?

I hope your weekend was great and that this week is treating you well! โ™ฅ

      1. I’m not big on potato chips but I do love eating potatoes and friess haha
I honestly love it, and the fact that the city’s name is Paris too. It’s perfect. and yeah usually chain restaurants are just too hyped up. I’ve been having better luck at smaller restaurants ๐Ÿ™‚
I use a DSLR but it’s a basic kit and really want to upgrade it ,

  3. I had no idea that there was an Eiffel tower in Tennessee!! Also, I hope you and your family are doing ok. I heard about the tornado earlier this week ๐Ÿ™

And yes, I have been to the Eiffel Tower in Paris! Definitely dreaming of going back to France. I studied for a semester in France and miss it terribly there. One day I will go back… just need to save up money ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also, I loooove that shirt! The color & cut are so pretty!

    1. Alexis’ hometown is near Paris, TN so that’s the only way I’ve heard about it! We’re okay, thankfully! Thanks for asking! ๐Ÿ™‚ The tornado damaged the areas that are a few exits from where we live and missed us!

That’s so cool that you’ve went! Have you mentioned the trip on your blog? That’s sounds like a wonderful opportunity; hopefully you’ll be able to go back in the near future! ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you! It’s such a comfy material! Hope your week is going great, Brittany! โฆ

  4. Stephanie!! I don’t know if you already know this but all the photos are missing from this post. ๐Ÿ™ I am crying because I would love to see them, especially the food lol. Super cool that you make your own chips! You’ll have to share the process with us sometime?! ๐Ÿ˜€

I didn’t know there was a Paris, TN! Super cool that there’s a pretty big Eiffel Tower replica there. I’d love to see it! I’ve never been to France but, there *is an Eiffel Tower replica here in Vegas, too lol.

Congrats to your friend Jessie & her new boutique!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Super cool that Alexis helped her design the logo! & personally, I think there are LOTS of Italian restaurants that are better than Olive Garden. ๐Ÿ˜›

Do you have anything to add?
